Rev. Sadhu Vaswani’s 138th Birthday Celebrations commence in the city of Pune. Celebrated as Meatless Day

A host of events have been lined up to commemorate this sacred occasion at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune, including Rath Yatra, Peace Rally,Theatrical Play, & more…

Revered Sadhu Vaswani’s 138th Birthday, which falls on November 25th, will be celebrated from November 19 to 25 at the International Headquarters in Pune. Devotees will converge from all over the world. It is also being celebrated worldwide at the various centers of the Mission with unique local programs and the campaign of the Meatless Day where people are encouraged to stay vegetarian on November 25th.
Sunday, November 196:00 PM – “The Fundoo Impact” A street play by Bridge Builders, Youth Wing of Sadhu Vaswani Mission, followed by a talk show “How to Be Happy Always” with Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani hosted by Ritu Nathani, Director, Cybage.
Tuesday, November 21 – 9:00 AM– ‘Peace Rally’of students & animal lovers will be held at the AISSMS Grounds in order to awaken the feeling of compassion for birds and animals.
Thursday, November 23 – 5:00 PM – Rath Yatra, a chariot of peace. An annual tradition in the city of Pune, 3-hour journey through the streets of Pune with thousands in procession will start and end at the Sacred Samadhi of Sadhu Vaswani.
The route of the Rath Yatra is as follows:-
Sadhu Vaswani Chowk – Council Hall (right from signal) – Poona Club (straight from Hotel Blue Nile Signal) – Hotel Sagar plaza – Dorabjee (right from signal) – Hotel supriya – Rahim Petrol Pump – Cycle Society – Quarter Gate – Irwin Road – Padumjee Gate Police Chowky – Padumjee Compound – Nishat talkies – Agarwal Colony – Babajan Chowk – R.S.Kedari road – Bhopala Chowk – Mahatma Gandhi road – Aurora Towers – Dorabjee – Nehru Memorial Hall – Sadhu Vaswani Kunj – Shanti Kunj – Prem Kutir back to Revered Sadhu Vaswani’s Sacred Samadhi (at about 8.30 pm).
Friday, November 24– 6:30 PM– ‘Dada Leela’-a theatrical play by the students of St. Mira’s Institutions.
Saturday, November 25 — Sadhu Vaswani’s Birthday– 11:30 AMSatsang &Artificial Limbs Seva followed by Guru Langar; 6:30 PM– Offering Meatless Day Pledges, Sadhu Vaswani & Dada J.P. Vaswani’s Upadesh followed by Deepak Yatra; 10:30 PM – Bhakti Sangeet.
To commemorate Sadhu Vaswani’s birthday,November 25th is observed as International Meatless Day and Animals RightsDay. People are urged to pledge via the newly launched ‘Simply Love’ app or via email at goveg@sadhuvaswani.orgfor observing the Meatless Day on November 25The slogan being used for the campaign is “25th of November is a day to remember, it’s a Meatless Day”.
Free Cardiac Camp,Free OPDs and Other Sevas –
From Nov. 1st to 30th – different services organized including a free Cardiac Camp at Fabiani & Budhrani Heart Institute and free OPD consultations and pathology investigations at Inlaks & Budhrani Hospital & M. N. Budhrani Cancer Institute.
Every morning at 6:00 am tea & biscuits will be served to the homeless on the roadside. Every day, lunch will be served to theinmates for the Home of the Aged, the Blind and the Handicapped. Various other service programmes will be carried out including providing artificial limbs to the limbless.
